I have the following message via the RS-232 Debug Connection:
Trap occured
Vector=Access Error FMT =03 SR =2700 FS =0C
Faulted PC = 20008276
D0:00000007 00000007 00000006 FF848C50 02000000 DDCFE9DB CF206080 15001080

Waiting 2sec to start 'A' to abort
And when I use MTTTY to download the _APP.s19 (with the FLA command), the "**" characters appear for a while
and show " S Record End detected", no "nb>" prompt. Then nothing happens. (kinds of hang!)
But I can "DL" to SDRAM and use "GO" to run the application.
BTW the whole thing repeat if I do "reset" or "power up" again.
Any suggestions? Thanks you

Trap occured
Re: Trap occured
Turn off the device for about 5 seconds and then power it back on. Catch the "A" to enter the monitor on the very first message. Then try the fla command with a know working application, possibly from the originals directory.
Re: Trap occured
I try to download the Flash with 'fla' command after the first "Waiting 2sec to start 'A' to abort", got the same result. Still be able to download to SDRAM and run though.
FYI: the problem is with PK70, NNDK 2.1 RC4a.
DK
Note: I try from the originals directory as well (C:\Nburn\PK70\original\AutoUpdateFeatures_APP.s19, tictactoe_APP.s19,etc). And I will try again on Monday.

Re: Trap occured
I've had problems like you have experienced, where I do the fla download, but then the target doesn't reboot. For me, it seemed to be a noisy serial connection, or my radio shack usb-serial converter was going haywire. I'm guessing that the downloaded image was corrupted somehow during transmission, and didn't pass a CRC check. The thing was, I tried a number of times over the course of a couple days, and it just wasn't working. I went to using the tftp download mode for awhile. The upside was that the tftp was faster, though it was less convenient. The serial works fine now, though. Go figure.
Re: Trap occured
So far, no luck, got the same result.
Anyway I tried with the 'tftp', I can run setup but not be able to save the config. (I tried the 'tftp' with MOD5270 and everything seems OK).
Is it anyway to check the condition of the flash memory, any program?
Thanks,
DK

Re: Trap occured
Did your application that caused the trap write to flash? It sounds like you could have corrupted part of the monitor. Through the standard NetBurner support you can get a monitor recovery application.
Re: Trap occured
I'm not so sure that I can write to the flash since I can't save when I use a 'setup' monitor command to change an ip address.
And unfortunately my support from Netburner has expired, I guess I can't get a monitor recovery application.
BTW I've attached the whole message from MTTY in steps to clarify things a bit.
DK.
