PK70 as a Analog to Ethernet device?

Post by edgar »

Where can I get the documentation for PK70 personality blades (Multi-I/O Blade Board (NBPKBM-100CR) )?

I've been using SB70LC and SB700Ex,but now I have a request to enable Analog and Digital IO through ethernet. I think the PK70 is the way to go right?

Thanks

Sorry about that, I meant the documents like a connections docs for the blades modules 'Multi-I/O Blade Board (NBPKBM-100CR)'.

Thanks,

You're confusing me! The 37 pin D Type I/O connector on the blade is on page 6 of the reference document that I sent you the link to http://www.netburner.com/downloads/pk70 ... _guide.pdf

The PK70 processor module connector (where you connect a blade) is on the same PK70 web page in the datasheet document (the link is labeled "PK70 Datasheet (with connector pinout)"!!
http://www.netburner.com/downloads/pk70 ... asheet.pdf

So all the data you're looking for is on the PK70 page in the vertical menu on the right.
Hope this helps

Thanks, Sorry for the confusion,

How do I go about changing NBPKBM-100CR DAC from 0-4.096V to 4-20Ma output? I'm looking in to using op-amp at the module output to convert it to 4-20ma or as close to it as i can. Does anyone done this or request this before?

Thanks,
Ed

Do a Google search for "voltage to 4-20mA circuit". There are ICs that can do this eg

http://www.analogmicro.de/english/products/am422.htm

http://www.analog.com/en/amplifiers-and ... oduct.html

Or if you want the easy solution, never mind the cost!

http://digital-instrumentation.co.uk/si ... oners.aspx DIN Rail mounted instrumentation with volts i/p analogue re-transmission of 4-20mA.
