So, I can't seem to get my wifi module working properly. I am able to connect and get an assigned ip address from a router using the WiFi Infrastructure example. The router has no encryption and i see on its status page that it assigns it an ip and i also see the debug output from the 5270 module that an ip is assigned. I cannot ping any computers on the network or the gateway itself from the MTTY and I cannot ping the board from any computers on the network...wtf is wrong here...
I also noticed that each time i try and make a web request for the wifi modules ip on the network that it seems renews itself in teh ARP cache (but not totally confirmed...) which seems to me like its hitting the module....again wtf... Please help, i'm trying to use this setup for a final engineering project for school...and i would like to graduate this semester lol.

If the DHCP works (uses UDP broadcasts), it may be that the router you are using is somehow blocking wifi to ethernet traffic. The ping and web access is directed at a specific IP address as opposed to the broadcast.
One test you could do is with a laptop. If you connect to your router with the laptop using only wifi (be sure to disconnect the ethernet cable), can you ping the laptop from a different PC that has a wired connection to the same router? The goal is to test wired ethernet to wifi connectivity.

If you can't ping from the pc to the laptop as you say (ie no netburner devices are involved), then it would most likely have something to do with your router settings. I would contact the support group for you router and describe the exact configuration of
pc <-ethernet-> router <-wifi -> laptop
and ask them what you need to change so you can ping both ways.

What is the model of your router and settings you need to get bi-directional pinging working. Perhaps other people could comment on their configurations. For referance I'm using SMCD3GN modem +gateway combo.

I'm just using a simple linksys/cisco wifi router. Don't know the exact model number. No special setting were required, just used the default configuration.

I just bought a Linksys WRT120N router and the same problems exist. I even tried disabling the SPI firewall on the router and forcing only B/G mode, tried all different channels as well as having WEP encryption and no security. No changes at all.
