TCP Update has multiple entries

Post by macpherson »

This is just interesting (at the moment) since there appears to be no harm done.

I have two MOD5270s in a local net. When I want to update them I start "TcpUpdate.exe". I then go to "Find" and I immediately see the two devices. After about 2 seconds the entry for the first device is repeated as a third entry. I can use either entry number 1 or number 3 to choose then update the firmware in that device.

Any clues?

Are you running it on a laptop or some computer with more than 1 network interface? I saw this on a laptop with wifi and ethernet.

rnixon,

There is only one network interface in the PC I am using. I have more information, though. I moved hardware around and swapped firmware between the two netburners and the double entry stays with the same unit.

I thought that perhaps there was a problem with the monitor since I could change the main program completely with no effect. I tried monitor replacement using "FLM" but was told that "Monitor programming is disabled.". I then did the "DL" and the GO did not work. I guess that I'll get an RMA.
