YouTube example of using Netburner to set thermostat value

Post by Kiwinet »

Here is a brief trivial example of me setting the setpoint value of a serial(RS232) enabled temperature controller
through a SB70LC Netburner webpage via Internet or LAN.

See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ga3LWVrRCv0

Early days yet, I hope to have the project fully completed in Adobe Flash web interface
in just a few months time, during my spare weekend time.

Cheers

Hi Vernon,

I simply solved the Netburner website link problem by a power OFF/ON hardware reset on both my ADSL2 modem and VOIP 4 port hub router.
It appears it was a Dynamic IP addressing issue between my 4 port ethernet hub router & modem.
Before the WAN IP address was 10.1.1.4, after power on/off reboot it changed to 10.1.1.3. seemed to have fixed it.
I always have my Netburner IP address set to DMZ by the router, so I was surprised when you mentioned didn't work?
So do you think assigning static addresses between the router and modem is a better or worse long term solution or
it maybe just a one off glitch with my interfacing hardware. DHCP seems to be relatively fuss free & reliable so far.

Happy Netburning then :)

I assign static addresses and also put the Netburner in a DMZ. It is very intermittant however and I am waiting for a new router to see if the router is the problem.

The netburner hosted control console is on the right side of the screen.

Your site is working now and looks good.

Tried your link, and it is working great. Did about 10 reloads, worked every time.
