Branding

Post by Ccoder »

I wonder if anybody has had experience in rebranding the tool that an end customer would use to change the ip address of a netburner device. Forgive me but I can't remember the name of the program, but it apparantly came with the devkit and could be passed on to the end customer. The only problem was it had "Netburner" where I would want our value added company name to be placed when the end user would run the application. The reason I'm not as familiar with this as I should be, I have lost contact with the coworker that had been researching the netburner.

My dear Ccoder

Not a problem to "rebrand" IPSetup.exe. Netburner has released the source to you in \nburn\pctools\ipsetup

If you need help recompiling that, altering the name, altering the icon, let us know. Build it with Visual Studio C++ 6.0 or newer.

Ipsetup, yes that was it.
Being able to put our brand on is key if we decide to go this direction.
Just trying to decide if we want to go with a PK70 package or a MOD.
We like the MOD5213 price for minimal data i/o but the PK70 and a proto-board would give custom data i/o as well as eithernet. Is there a product matrix document that I can print?

You can find a product matrix and roadmap at http://www.netburner.com/products.html. A PK70 is a nice finished product which includes a case and is easy to design custom branding directly on to the case. At your request, we can ship PK70's with no NetBurner labeling on the outside

Does netburner provide a cover for the SB72-EX without the netburner logo for rebranding ?

All NetBurner enclosures now ship with a removable label (or you can order without the label) to make it easier to brand. If you contact sales they can even send you the label design file so you can swap the NetBurner logo with your own.
