Is it safe to connect modules to a PoE connection?

Is it safe to connect modules to a PoE connection?

Regarding the MOD54415, can PoE be connected to the module without damage? I'm not interested in trying to power the module from PoE, just checking to see if there are any negative consequences for doing so.
