I think it would be a good idea to provide a remote (say 1 foot) panel mount ethernet connector as an option and extend the J1 and J2 pins to allow easy mounting of "hats" for various functions. This would also allow easy connection of a scope for trouble shooting. As part of this the module could delete the address and data connections from J1 and allow signals and power to pass thru to the HAT.

I would like to mount a higher resolution 16 or 18 bit A/D converter and instrument amplifiers for example.
