Update from 2.7.5 to 2.8.1

When updating to 2.8.1, if linker errors occur and the fix is to create a new project and then import source, is it possible to copy settings from the old project? I have quite a few projects, and most of them have additional include paths, libraries, etc. It would be a pretty big job to recreate them all.
