IPSetup: no device detected

utilities IPsetup and AutoUpdate do not see any NB devices on my laptop.
IPsetup.exe and AutoUpdate.exe are store on a NAS on our LAN. When launched from my laptop, no devices are detected. When lauched from my colleague's laptop, NB devices are detected.
note: If I specify the device's IP address, AutoUpdate.exe can download the firmware to the end.
Can someone help me to understand ???
thanks

Are you running this on a Windows 7 or Vista laptop, whereas your colleague's is an XP machine? Because older versions of IPSetup (and the find feature of AutoUpdate) have issues with how Microsoft changed broadcasts with multiple network interfaces starting with Vista. What version of IP Setup are you running (can be seen in the title bar)?

Hi Dan,
I'm running W7, my colleague is on W8. But IPSetup used to work on my laptop... I do not use it so often but a few weeks ago it was fine.
IPSetup version is V2.0.

I download IPSetup V2.1 which find devices, but latest version of AutoUpdate (V2.0) still not.

I asked the same question a few weeks back with no responses. Using Win XP and W7, latest downloads, IPSetup and Autoupdate can not "see" devices, IBFind can. If I know the IP I can program the devices.
Very strange.

I'll just chime in that I'm using Win 7 64 bit with V2.0 of AutoUpdate and I don't have this problem. What have you tried? Have you turned off your firewall, anti-virus etc.? Have you checked your IP/netmask, is it compatible with the NB Ip/netmask? Have you tried running AutoUpdate as admin?

Long shot, but worth checking

Is your AppName really long? There is an issue w/ long AppNames not showing up. Can't remember, but I think 64 chars may be the limit. When longer, the NB modules don't appear in either IPSETUP, or NBFind. Try downloading the factory demo by hitting 'A' to enter the monitor, and then FLA to enter the serial download mode. If a known-good app works w/ IPSETUP or NBFind after the serial download, try shortening the AppName you're using.
