content assist not working

I have chinese language package installed on XP SP3 but Alt + / does not trigger content assist. Have changed the catch limit.
any idea?
sorted by change the hot key to Crl + \

The default content assist is control-space, not control-/

Yes, the default is ctrl + space but it did not work for me, then I found this in the help file
Key bindings also vary by platform and locale. On the Macintosh platform, Command+S is assigned to Save, instead of the usual Ctrl+S. On Chinese locales (zh), Alt+/ is assigned to Content Assist, instead of the usual Ctrl+Space.
hence the attempt to use Alt+/, which did not work either for some reason.
but it is sorted by change it to Ctrl + \ and it works. thought I should post it so that some one might have the same issue in future.
