I have an application that needs Wi-Fi. No problem i will just go to NB and get one. When i looked at the data sheet i saw that it only does 64/128-bit WEP. I had to read it 2 times and i just could not believe that is all it does.
NB, whats up with that ? why no others like WPA (PSK, TKIP) encryption?

Hello,

Sorry for any confusion on this. We are working on two new wifi offerings that support b/g/n as well as wpa and wpa2 encryption. In an attempt to let people know the current product was being discontinued we have a note in a box at the top of the wifi product page:

=============
Note: A new wireless solution will be introduced in the coming months. The NBWIFIUG-100CR is no longer being produced. For additional details, please read the following <product discontinuation> notice.
==============

The link to the notice:
NetBurner is dedicated to supporting the product and service needs of our customers, and it is our
policy to support our products as long as possible. While we thoroughly review each component
vendor, we cannot eliminate the possibility of component obsolescence. In this case the vendor for our
wifi chipset, Realtek, has discontinued the key components used in our NBWIFIUG-100IR wifi
module without providing adequate notice to allow us to develop a suitable replacement in time for a
smooth transition.
The replacement is currently in development and will provide WPA2 security as well as b/g/n
capability. It is our goal for this replacement to be mechanically and programmatically identical to the
NBWIFIUG-100IR, but we cannot guarantee that until our development and testing is complete. It is
our goal to have prototype units as soon as possible.
We do have inventory of the NBWIFIUG-100IR, and will sell these units at the discounted price of
$19 per unit until the inventory is depleted.
We apologize for this inconvenience and will do our best to provide an alternate solution as soon as
possible.
