Looks like it ended up being my processor. I had a MOD54417 and plugged it in with that example and it worked fine. Thanks for the help

Thank you for the update, and I'm happy to hear it worked out. I haven't seen SPI signals go bad on any of our processors, but if somehow it was connected to anything other than 0 to 3.3V, ESD, etc it could be damaged.
