SNMP Library Kills FTP?

Post by jmaass »

We are experiencing a problem which appears to be related to using the SNMP library in our application.

We are able to connect to and receive Scalar data from the SNMP Agent (never did get Tables to work), but now we can no longer connect to our application using FTP. It seems to connect, but then times out.

Has anyone else had this issue? Has anyone else here ever used the Netburner SNMP package?

I've been using snmp extensively and have not seen this issue. It sounds like the agent implementation is incorrect somehow, and is absorbing too much cpu time, and not giving time for ftp to run. What do you have the ftp and snmp priorities set to?
