I have a few ideas that I think would improve the UDP Terminal app. Basically, to make it operate more like MTTTY.
1. Once it's started and displaying messages, there is no easy way to stop it. I have to quickly enter a different listening port to get it to stop, and hope the information I wanted to examine didn't scroll past the end of the small history buffer.
2. It would be nice to be able write displayed information to a text file as it comes in, like MTTTY.
3. The checkbox "Display Transmitted Packets" has no affect. Packets are displayed whether it's checked or not.
UDP Terminal suggestions
Re: UDP Terminal suggestions
Display transmitted packets 100% works for me...
It does not toggle them on off in the display, it just controls if new ones are added to the display or not.
If the packets you are transmitting are broadcast or multicast in a way that the PC running udpterminal would receive them given the current udp terminal settings then they will appear, as they are legitimately received when they are sent.
