Failed Recovery, MODM7AE70 - what am I doing wrong?

I've got a MODM7AE70 module that became corrupted, and now even the recovery procedure doesn't seem to revive it.

I've got the module installed in the MOD-DEV-70CR base, powered through the mini USB. I'm following the recommended recovery process from the NB Docs.
  • During recovery process, with the jumper in place, eventually led D2 becomes solid and led D1 blinks around 1 Hz rate. Then I remove the jumper.
  • When jumper is removed, led D2 blinks around 2 Hz several times, then appears to reattempt booting or something, and repeats. Pressing the reset button has no effect.
  • I get no comm through the USB serial connection with MTTTY at any point in the above process.
I haven't done much with these boards in the past year, but did have issues early on which ended up requiring the modules to be sent back to NB for a proper fix. I'm at a loss at this point, so any assistance is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Silkscreen on the module (just below the RJ45) states:
NETBURNER
MODM7AE70
REV 1.4

That sounds like the decompression fail blink code.

Was the module ever plugged into custom hardware?
Any possibility that the data bus or power exceeded 3.3V?
Where are you located?

Thanks!

It was plugged into custom hardware, yes. But I think it would be pretty unusual for it to see higher than 3.3V on any pin. We've got a few of these that have been running in the same hardware for quite a while now. But that doesn't eliminate the possibility.

Is there any other checks I should perform to be certain?

I'm located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Bump for information. What are the next steps? Anything I can do to get this thing operational again?

Thanks!

I would suggest you RMA this unit.
