using the MOD-DEV-70 development board on another PC

Post by omri »

hello,
we bought a MOD-DEV-70 development board with a M5441x on it.
we tested it on one computer with an NBeclipse and it worked ok received an IP address and everything is working fine.

now we tried to use it on another computer we installed the NB Eclipse on that computer but when we try to make a new project and identify the connected module there is no ip address to the module and nwe cannot use it.

on the first computer it is still working fine.

any ideas?

Are both the computer and NetBurner device connected to a network with a DHCP server?

What are the IP Addresses of both the computer, and the NetBurner device?

Does your computer have antivirus or a firewall that blocks network connections?

What does the output of the debug serial port show?

Can you see the device with IPSetup?

ok,

the computer has 2 network adaptors the first one is connected to a local network.
the second one is connected to a small switch with 8 connections.

we connect the M5441x to one of the 8 connections of the switch. and nothing else is connected to the switch.
and we connect the development board USB to the computer.

with this configuration the IPSETUP cannot see the M5441x.

today we tried to connect it directly to the computer network adapter instead of the one that was connected to the local network and it finally find it.

but we want to connect it through the switch is it possible to get help about the network configurations that we need to have here? or should it demand the help of our IT support?

This sounds like it may be routing issue on the PC, and the IPSetup application is attempting to send/receive information out all adapters, but for some reason something in the system is blocking it. What version of IPSetup are you using? You might also want to contact NetBurner support directly if you need more in-depth assistance than what I can be provided here.
