Any thoughts on NANO5234 modules ?

Similar pinout to 54415, but a few eTPU pins instead of PWM's of 54415 ?

The nano uses serial flash, the 5234 has no such capability.
I doubt that it could be made to fit on the board.

What exact TPU functionality do you need that could not be done with the very capable capture and compare timers on the 54415?

I like this little unit! We use the the MOD5270 in an RF receiver application, and we have to cut a lot of the pins off the address/data bus line to reduce RF emissions. It also has strong harmonics of 25MHz due to the ethernet controller's 25MHz clock, which, in spite of shielding the module, reduces our sensitivity. I hope in the course of redesign you've managed to tame that 25MHz beast a bit.

Somehow I missed your question Paul.

I'm using eTPU to generate single pulse, multiple pulses(<16) or continuous (PWM) outputs on 2 pins with shift between them. Mode is defined by command from remote system.
Just not sure how PWM module of MOD54415 works yet, but I like the size and cost of Nano module.

If your shortest pulse or gap between pulses is not too short (IE < 50usec) then you could probably do everything you need via the
DMA timers and some programming, what is the shortest pulse or shortest gap between pulses in your application?

It is typically 10-15 uSec pulses and shortest is 1uS with delay between pulses up to 50mS.

##%&&*&***! The MOD5270 was Auto MDiX capable, but the NANO54415 is not! That was a big plus for my customers, knowing they'll always have the correct cable. This little tidbit should be noted in the brochure, for those who might rightfully expect to get Auto MDiX capability.

Hmmm. I just checked the datasheet for the KSZ8041NL PHY, and it says it does have HP Auto MDI/MDI-X capability. Not sure why Netburner included a crossover cable in the development kit, other than to confuse me...?

The Nano is auto MDX, no need for a cross over cable...
The Kit pack list needs to be modified.

So does page 15 of the NANO54415 Quick Start Guide, which tells you that can't use the blue patch cable to connect directly to a host PC, and that the red crossover cable cannot be used to connect to a switch.

BTW, Paul, are there any plans to write a basic porting guide for the Nano? At least a checklist of things that might be required to port from an existing platform?
