Hi Dave,
I have not calculated it yet no, trying to find some references...
You mean an external UART instead of eTPU's? Wouldn't those also pose performance problems with 8 full duplex lines?
Cheers

Re: 5234 - eTPU & RS422
Humm, seems like 115k for all 8 ports might be a tad to much for the eTPU perhaps?

Re: 5234 - eTPU & RS422
The cable length will be up to max (3000 feet) while the transmission rate should be around 57k-115k. I should also be able to use all eTPU ports (8). Can this work reliably?

Re: 5234 - eTPU & RS422
Hi Dave,
Thanks for the reply.
I have not chosen an driver IC yet, anything you recommend?
I think it will be half duplex as it most likely will be a 2-wire connection, but I am not 100% sure yet.
Thanks

5234 - eTPU & RS422
Do I need any special hardware to use the eTPU in RS422 mode? (drivers?)
Any hints on this or software snippets of any kind?
Thanks

Re: Extra serial port for MOD5282
Thanks for all the suggestions
I have purchased a 5234 dev board and will check the eTPU out. It doesn't have AD it seems, but I can use a PIC with a serial for that...
Cheers!

Extra serial port for MOD5282
Hi,
What is the easiest way to get a fourth rs232 serial line on a MOD5282? (should be relatively easy and very stable @ 115200)? Extra chip of some kind?
Thanks

Re: snprintf Release 2.0 rc 4
I have had this problem as well, I had to use semaphores every time I used printf and FP (i still use them).
