All is well now. It appears that it is a problem with the
serial port on the computer that was being used instead of
a problem with the board. Thanks for the replies.

How to reprogram MOD5270 Monitor?
I have 8 MOD5270s that I am using in an Embedded Systems Programming class. One of the students has somehow managed to overwrite the monitor. (I'm not quite sure how.) Can it be reprogrammed? If so how? The students are working on their final projects for the class and I need to get his board workin...
