Re: MOD5234 gpio voltage tolerance

Can I ask what the device is that you are using?

Can it be powered from 3.3V instead?

Re: MOD5234 gpio voltage tolerance

Hi there, Depening on the type of output and speed of the signal, you can interface this a number of ways to the GPIO pins. The first is a simple transistor with a pull up on the collector to 3.3V. Apply the 5V signal to the base via a 4K7 resistor (actual value will depend on the current available ...

Re: Reducing power on 5270/34 products

I get an error when trying to compile this under debug. It reports DisablePHY(), EnablePHY() and StopEnet() as undefined. Looking at the library files, the above functions Disable and Enabled are not included in the debug version but only in the release. Looking at the source code, there is no #defi...

Re: Suggestions for Buffering I/O Lines

Bit confusing there as it looked like it was a reply about timing but in fact was my previous posting with a small question at the end but the poster pradap did not include the reply as a quote.

Re: Using the eTPU to clock in data.

Actually, I was going to suggest an external device too but the idea of using the CPLD on the dev board is a quick way to get this working and prove your design with commiting to any hardware (assuming you have the MOD100 dev board in the first place). You'll need to download the ISE software to use...

Re: Put web site onto external EEProm ?

Are you sure it is that much cheaper? My local supplier Farnell has the device at $6.54 for the SST25VF080B. The same supplier has a microSD socket for $1.17 and I can get a 2GB microSD card for $5.50 in the local market. Works out about the same for me here! Not sure about your market but microSD a...

Re: Put web site onto external EEProm ?

microSD works with the same SD interface except you don't have the LOCK connection.

I am using the Netburner FAT file drivers with a microSD card on my design.

Re: Eagle netburner library

Nice work there RG.. Only downside when I tried to import into Alibre Design was something strange with the RJ45 plug in that is has a face that was way off from the board that I could not edit. Deleting the RJ45 seemed to have cured it and I see that this part (RJ45 plug) appears to have come from ...

Re: Eagle netburner library

Hi Neil,

My Altium libraries are in my own format, layers, parameters etc but you can use the free MOD5270 step file I posted to create your own. You should be able to convert this to a MOD5234 if you know how to extend the edge of the model... :o)
