Hi Joe,
Interesting. Thanks for the info...
My solution in my application is to update the system time using the RTC every hour.
Seems a reasonable compromise ...

Re: MOD54415 RTC Month Error
By the way, I've had 3 x 54415 modules in instruments on site for over 6 months now with the RTC correction "tuned" as in my previous posts, and I visited site this week to find they were all with 30s of the correct time. Two were a little fast, one was a little slow.

Re: NBWIFIN and FTP
Ed - I've tried to reproduce your FTP example with the 54415 on board micro SD card, and got the writing . reading to the SD card AND FTP to / from the contents of the on board SD card working by changing #define MMC_ON_BOARD (1) to #define MMC_ON_BOARD (2) in FileSystemUtils.cpp (as you say). BUT o...

Re: Modbus on 5282
Ok thanks guys.
As I said, my requirement is VERY simple so I was looking for a "quick and dirty" (ie cheap or free) bit of help!
I've found www.simplymodbus.ca that seems to give the required info, so I'll maybe have a go myself and report back ...

Re: Modbus on 5282
Hi Bill, I too am looking at needing to communicate from a Netburner MOD54415 using the ethernet interface to some slave I/O that uses the Modbus TCP protocol. All I need to do is regularly update the state of 8 to 16 digital outputs on the ethernet connected slave. Are you prepared to share any of ...

Re: MOD54415 RTC Accuracy
Some information about the System Time. My 3 separate MOD54415 systems were left powered on for 10 hours and the system time change recorded. On power on the system time was set from the RTC which had just been set to my PC time (which is connected to an NTP server). After 10 hours the system time w...

EMC Compliance for CE Marking
I wonder if anyone has any experience of design / manufacture of a product using a Netburner module (I'm specifically interested in the MOD54415), for which they've had successful European EMC Directive Compliance testing as part of the process of CE Marking the product? If so, can you share any fee...

Re: MOD54415 RTC Accuracy
Test Results. So to re-cap, 3 different MOD54415s with no RTC compensation the RTC accuracy over an elapsed time of 4.25 days with the power turned off (so RTC working off 3v battery backup power): Mod 1 = 14 sec slow, Mod 2 = 14 sec slow, Mod 3 = 12 sec slow Calculated the theoretical compensation ...

Re: MOD54415 RTC Accuracy
Thanks Dan. Ed - I'd say you are absolutely correct when you say : set the RTC to GMT and use an environmental variable to manage regional time and DST? Thanks for the code examples. For me in the UK the TZ variable is: (5th occurrence means the last Sunday in March and October, and BST is British S...
