Adobe Flex GUI to NetBurner

Post by curibe »

Hi Everyone!

Here is a very simple "text" based Adobe Flex to NetBurner Application.

FEATURES:

- Turn on/off LED's
- Get status of LED's, DIP switches
- Send text to NeBurner which gets echo'd back.
- Send a "heartbeat" message

The Zip File includes the NetBurner Source and the Flex Source. If you just want to see how it works, grab the source and compile and load it for your particular platform (I tested it on the MOD5270).

What you need:

1) The NetBurner source code files and the Adobe Flex source code files:
NetBurner-Flex-App.zip
NetBurner to Adobe Flex
(186.41 KiB) Downloaded 571 times
2) Adobe Flex (this was tested with Adobe Flex 3)
If you want to try out the 60 day trial version of Adobe Flex download it here for FREE:

Have fun!

Thanks curibe , the more examples we get out there the more people can learn from them!

Here is my tribute to the NBFlex ;)
mine is a slight twist to curibe's last post of this.

FYI: i am new to Flex, so make no assumtions that the code is the proper way to do things.
just learning here and sharing is all.

Hello,

I tried downloading and unzipping both files below:-

NetBurner-Flex-App.zip (uploaded by curibe)
NBFlex.zip (uploaded by seulater)

But while trying to open the zip files it gives the error "The compressed (zipped) folders are invalid or corrupted".

Can you please upload these files again so that I can open them without any errors...I'd love to look at the Flex code and understand how the flash demo works for MOD5270.

Thanks!
curibe

I can't get this to run - does it require Internet connectivity? I have a direct connection from my laptop to the Netburner. All I get it a FlasgGuiBasic page with the little image icon on the page.

I installed Adobe Flash Player version 10.0.32.18 today. I don't need to do anything with the Flex source, do I?

Nicely presented applicaton Chris - thanks for posting!

I did a screen capture of it for those who have not tried it yet :-
Also includes what you expect to see through the 'other' debug output serial port
via the MTTY program.

Check out the URL link below:-
